Areej is co-founder and curator of African artist collective and organization, Still Nomads, and a radio producer, presenter and trainer. Areej has spoken at Listen Conference, Arts House Supper Club, Emerging Writers’ Festival and Women of the World festival. She is Executive Producer of The ReReaders and Jacky Winter Gives You The Business podcasts. She is a producer and presenter on Women on the Line and broadcasts regularly on 3CR and PBS. Most of Areej’s work seeks to support women of colour, particularly black women, to be at the forefront of discussions about community, art, race and feminism in Australia.
Bethany is a broadcaster, producer, writer and educator passionate about using storytelling as a tool for community building, social justice and increasing human rights awareness. She has created audio documentaries for multiple broadcasters and podcasts including ABC Radio National, Triple R and FBi's All The Best. She works as the Creative Producer at national youth literary organisation, Express Media, and presents and produces storytelling show The Glasshouse on Triple R. Beth has taught radio, podcasting and audio storytelling across Australia’s leading arts and cultural organisations including The Walkley Foundation, The Arts Centre and Melbourne Writers Festival. Beth has presented her writing and audio art across galleries and at National Young Writers Festival and The Arts Centre.
Izzy Roberts-Orr is Artistic Director and Co-CEO of the Emerging Writers’ Festival, and a Melbourne producer, writer, editor and broadcaster. As a facilitator, curator and provocateur, Izzy has worked with Voiceworks, Express Media, the Victorian Indigenous Literary Festival, Writers’ Victoria, SIGNAL, ARTillery, the University of Glasgow and as a co-convenor of ‘Independent Convergence’ at MPavilion. Izzy was Executive Producer of The ReReaders podcast, and co-created Sisteria and Dear/Hello podcasts. She has produced radio for SYN, RRR and FBi radio’s ‘All the Best’.
